ProjectsIvy Park Road
Reconfiguration to arts and crafts family home
Overview
Maker clients brought bespoke skills and knowledge to this unique refresh of an arts and crafts home in a conservation area.
Ivy Park Road is a welcoming family home with space for socialising, showcasing the owners’ interest in design. Following an internal remodel, the open plan ground floor flows seamlessly to an outdoor terrace to allow a large external family to eat together and mingle freely.
With a keen eye for crafted products, the owners worked collaboratively with our Studio Fonder team to direct the interior design approach. A previously established workshop allows the residents to make at home, and this passion extends into the items crafted for the property refresh.
Several elements – including the stairs, furniture, lighting, kitchen and internal crittall screens – are all tailored to the home. The stairs were produced on site, utilising multiple craftsmen, local suppliers, high quality materials and the “jigsaw” design skills of the client.
